Woodland Winter Buck Metal Porch Leaner

Beneath a slender crescent moon, a buck pauses among the evergreens while snowflakes drift through the quiet woods. It’s the sort of winter scene you might hope to glimpse beyond a cabin window, just before drawing the curtains for the evening. Our Woodland Winter Buck Metal Porch Leaner brings a little of that stillness to your doorstep.

A quiet corner of the winter woods

An antlered buck stands among tall evergreens and smaller woodland trees, with bare branches and snowy ground below. Above him, scattered snowflakes and a crescent moon complete the scene. With no lettering, the design celebrates winter itself, making it an easy companion for Christmas greenery and the quieter weeks that follow.

The decorative openings are genuine cut-through spaces in the steel. The wall or scenery behind your piece shows through, becoming part of the woodland view.

Lean it beside your front door with a planter of evergreen boughs, hang it on a covered porch using your own suitable hardware, or mount it near an entry bench. Weathered wood, stone, plaid blankets, pinecones, and lanterns all make natural companions.

This piece is especially suited to deer and wildlife lovers, cabin owners, woodland-home decorators, and anyone who enjoys a soft, nature-inspired approach to winter decorating. It also makes a thoughtful handmade gift for someone whose favorite place is a little closer to the trees.

Choose your finish

Raw
Raw means steel as it comes from the steel mill. We clean your piece before shipment, but it remains otherwise unfinished and unsealed. It will naturally oxidize and develop rust or patina over time. The speed and appearance of that aging will vary with humidity, weather, handling, atmosphere, and where you display it.

Rusted — The Dirt Road Gardener signature hand-rusted finish
Our Rusted finish is genuine rust—not paint, faux rust, powder coating, or a printed finish. We begin the rusting process by hand using ordinary household ingredients, including vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, and salt.

The steel is intentionally left unsealed so it can continue naturally rusting and developing a deeper patina. Variations in color, texture, and rust pattern are expected and are part of the character of genuine weathered steel.

Unsealed rust may transfer to hands, clothing, walls, flooring, furniture, or other surfaces it contacts. Please consider surrounding surfaces when choosing your display location. If you love the finish as it arrives and want to slow continued oxidation, you may choose to apply an appropriate clear protective coating after receiving it.

Flat Black
Flat Black creates a bold silhouette, giving the buck, evergreens, moon, and snowflakes clear definition against a lighter background.
