Life's better barefoot on a dirt road...and that's the heart behind The Dirt Road Gardener.
What started as a simple love for home, family, and the peaceful rhythm of country living has grown into a place where handcrafted metal art meets cozy, nostalgic, faith-rooted storytelling. Here, every piece tells a story - one built on generations of work ethic, creativity, community, and a whole lot of love.
Come sit a spell while I share a little about our story.
I grew up on dirt roads. The kind where neighbors wave, porch lights glow warm, and life slows down just enough for you to appreciate it. Those early memories shaped everything about the way I see home — cozy spaces, honest work, old-fashioned values, and the belief that the small things matter most.
Today, that same heartbeat lives here inside The Dirt Road Gardener.
This brand was born from the desire to bring warmth, meaning, and craftsmanship back into the home — to create pieces that feel like memories, not just decorations. Inspired by the seasons, rooted in faith, and grounded in a whole lot of real-life living, every sign we design carries a story with it.
But this isn’t just my story — it’s my family’s.
My husband Joe spent 30 years as a union ironworker, earning multiple certifications as a welder and fabricator. He passed that same passion on to our son Wade, who started welding at 12 years old and now carries the torch as a skilled AWS-qualified fabricator. Together, these two run our fabrication shop with precision, pride, and the kind of integrity you only find in generational craftsmanship.
While they build with steel, I build with heart — designing, marking up, styling, photographing, writing, and creating the lifestyle behind each collection. The Dirt Road Gardener is where our worlds meet: strong steel paired with soft storytelling, rugged craftsmanship paired with cozy farmhouse spirit.
We believe homes should be lived in, loved deeply, and decorated with intention.
We believe porches should tell stories, holidays should be celebrated big, and that the little things — like a single word hanging on the wall — can change the way a space feels.
Every sign we create is cut from 16–gauge steel on our CNC plasma table, cleaned, finished, and packaged with care right in our family shop. Whether it’s a monogram for your home, a scripture-inspired word sign, a porch leaner that welcomes your guests, or a piece that ties your favorite room together — we’re honored to be a small part of your story.
From our dirt road to yours… welcome home. 💛
