Our RIP Tombstone Garden Stake was designed for the gardener who likes a little bit of spooky mixed in with the hydrangeas, pumpkins and mums. With its weathered grave-marker silhouette, cracked details, cutout RIP lettering and tufts of grass along the bottom, this piece feels like something you might stumble across at the edge of an old country cemetery.

It is playful enough for Halloween decorating, but still rustic and understated enough to live in the garden long after October has packed itself away.

CHOOSE YOUR FINISH

RAW STEEL

Raw means exactly that — bare, unsealed steel.

There is no clear coat, paint or protective finish applied. Once exposed to outdoor air, rain and humidity, your piece will naturally begin developing its own patina and rust. Depending on your climate and atmospheric conditions, that process can begin rather quickly.

We love raw steel because no two pieces age exactly the same. It becomes part of the garden instead of simply sitting in it.

RUSTED FINISH

Our rusted finish is real rust.

It is not painted to look rusty. It is not powder coated. We begin the natural oxidation process here in our shop using apple cider vinegar, salt and peroxide to encourage the steel to develop the warm, earthy rust tones you see in our photographs.

The finish is intentionally left unsealed, so the piece will continue to deepen, change and age outdoors over time.

That ever-changing patina is part of what makes real steel garden art so beautiful.

We picture this one tucked beneath fading hydrangeas with a few Cinderella pumpkins nearby, peeking through mums on an old farmhouse porch, or standing quietly in a garden bed where somebody has created their own little Halloween graveyard.

Your tombstone is precision cut from steel, cleaned, welded and finished specifically for your order rather than pulled from mass-produced inventory.

SHIPPING

Orders are shipped UPS Ground whenever service is available to your address.

On the occasional address that cannot be serviced through UPS, we may ship your order using USPS Ground instead.

Tracking information will be provided once your order is on its way.

Because each piece is handmade to order and created specifically for your purchase, we do not accept returns or issue refunds for change-of-mind purchases.

If your order arrives damaged or you receive an incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will review the issue with you and work together toward an appropriate resolution.
