Four sides of winter personality

A cheerful, forward-facing penguin stands beneath twinkling stars in a snow-inspired scene. The identical design is plasma-cut into each of the four steel sides, so the landscape shows through the genuinely open cutouts. There is no white paint or backing behind the artwork. At 18 inches tall, this smallest size makes a charming accent beside porch planters, garden steps, or a cabin entryway. The second product photo shows the 18-, 24-, and 32-inch sizes together for scale; only one 18-inch column is included in this listing.

Choose your finish

Raw Steel: Cleaned mill-finish steel with no paint, powder coating, or protective sealant. It will naturally darken, oxidize, and develop rust and patina outdoors over time.

Rusted Finish: Genuine hand-started rust, not imitation paint. We begin the natural patina using ordinary household ingredients including vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, and salt, leaving the steel unsealed so it can continue to change and develop character. Each piece is unique. The photographs show the Rusted Finish.

Unsealed rust can transfer to surrounding surfaces, hands, clothing, floors, or furniture. Protect surfaces as needed, or apply an appropriate clear protective coating after delivery if you wish to slow future oxidation.

Production and free shipping

Every column is handmade to order in our Michigan family shop. Please allow 7–10 business days for production before shipment; carrier transit is additional. Shipping is free. We ship via UPS Ground whenever it can deliver to your address, using USPS when UPS delivery is unavailable. Tracking is provided.

Returns and order concerns

Because each piece is made to order to the selected specifications, we do not accept returns or refunds for change of mind. If the order arrives damaged, incorrect, or fails to arrive, please contact us within 7 days so we can review the circumstances and work toward a suitable resolution.
