Sun Tea & Serendipity

Sun Tea & Serendipity

We were headed toward the boat — just another slow summer afternoon on the dirt roads. But there it was: a handwritten garage sale sign with a crooked arrow and zero curb appeal. So naturally, we pulled in.

I wasn’t expecting much.

But then I spotted her —
Tucked in the shade on a folding table, marked at just $3 — a vintage Solar Sun Tea jug with the happiest little sun logo and a cheerful yellow lid. It was love at first sight.

I didn’t haggle. I didn’t hesitate. I scooped her up like I was rescuing a treasure that had been waiting just for me.

Later that night, I cleaned her up, set her on the porch railing, and filled her with water, mint leaves, and tea bags — letting the sun do her thing.

And just out of curiosity, I checked eBay…

👉 Current listings have her going for $37 to $46.
But honestly? She’s not going anywhere.

She’s officially part of my porch story now — a cozy little ritual that started with a $3 impulse and turned into something that feels like home.
