How I'm Refreshing My Home for the New Season
There’s something about the first hint of spring that makes you want to fling the windows open, breathe deep, and start fresh.

It’s when we shake the dust off, pack away the heavy winter layers, and breathe life back into our spaces.

Today, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite ways to do a simple, meaningful kitchen refresh, without making it feel overwhelming.
1. Start Small: Sinks, Soaps, and Scents
You don’t have to gut the whole kitchen to breathe new life into it.
Sometimes it’s the smallest changes that make the biggest difference.
I start by resetting the sink area — freshening up hand soaps, lighting a new candle, setting a little riser on the counter with something simple and pretty like fresh herbs or a tiny bouquet.

2. The Wall Cleaner I Swear By
There’s one homemade cleaner I reach for over and over again to freshen up the walls, doors, and cabinets.
Here’s the recipe:

1 part white vinegar

2 parts warm water

A few drops of lemon essential oil (optional)

A few drops of dish soap
Spray it lightly onto a rag (not directly onto the surface) and give everything a quick wipe-down.
It’s gentle, effective, and makes the whole house smell like a fresh start.
3. Light a New Candle
It might sound silly, but lighting a new seasonal candle is like flipping an invisible switch in the house.
