primitive-christmas-tree-welcome-winter-metal-porch-leaner
Primitive Christmas Tree Welcome Winter Metal Porch Leaner

An old-fashioned Christmas begins with a simple welcome. A star above a woodland tree, evergreen clippings tucked into a favorite crock, and a porch ready for familiar footsteps—our Primitive Christmas Tree Welcome porch leaner belongs in that little world. Its tall, gently uneven evergreen and vertical WELCOME lettering bring the warmth of a country Christmas right to your door.

The details

Dimensions: 48 inches tall × 10 inches wide

Material: 14- or 16-gauge steel

Finishes: Raw, Rusted, or Flat Black

Mounting: Four corner pinholes for hanging or mounting; also suitable for leaning

Hardware: Not included, including the bracket and chains shown in styled imagery

Production: Handmade to order in 7–10 business days

Shipping: Free; carrier transit time is additional to production

Price: $190 in any of the three finishes

A slender, star-topped Christmas tree stretches alongside the welcoming letters, giving this design its simple primitive character. The tree, star, and lettering are cut-through openings in the steel—not white paint—so the wall or scenery behind your sign shows through the design.

Lean it beside your front door with a galvanized bucket of pine branches, mount it near an entry bench, or hang it beside a covered porch seating area using suitable hardware of your own. Pair it with checked ribbon, pinecones, weathered wood, and warm cream textiles for a Christmas porch that feels collected and loved.

This piece is especially at home with primitive Christmas collections, rustic farmhouse decorating, and cozy cottage entries. It also makes a thoughtful handmade gift for someone who delights in dressing their porch for the season.

Choose your finish

Raw
Raw steel means exactly that: bare steel as it comes from the steel mill, cleaned before shipment but otherwise unfinished and unsealed. It will naturally oxidize and develop rust or patina over time. Humidity, weather, handling, atmosphere, and display location all influence how quickly it ages and how that patina looks.

Rusted — The Dirt Road Gardener’s signature hand-rusted finish
Our Rusted finish is genuine rust, begun by hand using ordinary household ingredients including vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, and salt. It is not paint, faux rust, powder coating, or a printed finish.

The steel is intentionally left unsealed so its weathered character can continue developing naturally. Variations in color, texture, and rust pattern are expected; each piece will age in its own way.

Rust may transfer to hands, clothing, walls, flooring, furniture, or other surfaces it contacts. Please consider those surfaces when choosing your display location. If you love the appearance as it arrives and want to help slow continued oxidation, you may choose to apply an appropriate clear protective coating after receiving it.

Flat Black
A flat black finish offers a simple, bold look that pairs beautifully with evergreen foliage, cream siding, natural wood, and traditional Christmas accents.

Have a personal touch in mind?

If you love the design but would like something changed, adjusted, personalized, or slightly reworked, contact The Dirt Road Gardener before ordering. If the change is feasible for our design and production process, we’re happy to discuss it.

Handmade to order & shipped free

Please allow 7–10 business days for us to make your porch leaner.
